The competencies of Business Analysts are evolving each day and changing with greater advances in technology, tools and processes used in business.
ReplyDeleteFrom the competencies mentioned, I believe Business Analysts must focus their energies on the developing their skills in line with the measures of effectiveness for each competency. For example, for Analytical and Problem Solving skills, they must be open to exploring new ideas and concepts, embrace learning as an ongoing process and be able to effectively communicate the impact of change for all stakeholders. For Organization and Time Management, Business Analysts must ensure they focus on the critical tasks at the right time to meet stakeholder expectations, accepting changes to project delivery over the lifespan of the business project. Another critical competency for Analysts is to work towards establishing a shared sense of ownership for team objectives across all stakeholders and the vision that drives their commitment to evolve and improve business capabilities.
